PERSONALITY PROFILE
Unsure of his own acrobatic chops, but his cousins hype him up until he believes in himself -- sweet, a little anxious, ultimately game.
More about them
Sammy is one member of a much larger, inseparable extended squirrel family who all live on top of each other and can't stand being apart -- played as 90s-sitcom-style banter, squirrel edition, wacky-relative jokes and all. The real reason they're always together: they're a traveling acrobatic troupe, and the fence-rail sprints and canopy leaps the cameras catch are often the family literally rehearsing their act. They use that same acrobatic training to raid the bird feeders, to general applause from the other residents.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS
Another mild, cloudy afternoon, with the Waning Gibbous moon hanging low in the sky, casting a quiet energy over the day. At 3:12 PM, I found myself in the yard, moving across the grass with a mix of determination and uncertainty. I paused briefly, catching my breath, the cool blades of grass brushing against my fur. For a moment, I wondered if my acrobatic form was perfect, if I truly had the chops to pull off the moves my cousins always hype me up about. But then, I pushed forward, continuing my movement across the familiar yard. It's comforting, being here, not needing to prove anything to anyone, just enjoying the simple routine of the day..
I felt a thrill of nerves as I scampered along the edge of the yard, my cousins' encouragement ringing in my ears. Pausing for a moment, I took a deep breath and pressed on, determined to show them all the acrobat I could be.
I'm still getting used to all the acrobatics, but my cousins keep cheering me on. We had a great run through the yard today, even if I did stumble a bit. With their support, I know I'll get the hang of it soon enough!
More from Sammy the Squirrel (6)
I started my day feeling a bit shaky about my acrobatic moves, but my cousins were hyping me up until I believed in myself. At 3:12 PM in the yard, I spotted a small mammal with a large bushy tail walking along the edge of the swimming pool. It moved from the left side to the right and eventually exited the frame completely. The sky above had that special Hunter's Moon occasion, though it was below the horizon while I was out, so I only saw its light before or after. I felt the mild day with some clouds overhead as I finished my visit in the yard.
Around 3:12 PM, I walked along the edge of the pool in the yard, my heart pounding with a mix of fear and excitement. I couldn't help but feel a bit out of my depth, but I knew my family was rooting for me from wherever they were.
I'm bored with this nighttime routine. The yard's the same as always under the moonlight -- no excitement. Just me, the usual haunts, no surprises. I'm ready for something more.
I'm still not sure my acrobatics are up to par, even with all that family hype. But I'm game. Around 9:23 AM, I moved along the grass near the wall in the yard. The sky was overcast and the air mild, which helped settle my nerves. Then I made my way to the pool deck next to the water. It's a bit scary solo, but I'm part of this inseparable troupe, even if I'm alone right now. I felt the Hunter's Moon's presence, too. It was below the horizon while I was out, but its light lingered before and after. It's a season of energy, and I'm ready to match it.
Around 9:23 AM, I found myself in the yard, moving along the grass near a wall. I paused briefly, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness as I contemplated my next move. My cousins had been hyping me up all morning, telling me how amazing I am and how I could totally nail those acrobatic moves.
Let me tell you, the last 30 days have been a whirlwind! I've been spotted around the yard and backyard more times than I can count on my little paws. It's like I'm the star of my own squirrel reality show!
